Hybrid vehicles combine a mixture of gas and electric power to operate, while electric vehicles are totally dependent on electricity. Both are supposed to be environmentally friendly, yet, research from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, suggests that electric vehicles emit potentially harmful particle matter more harmful than gasoline emissions – in China.
