Remarkable Energy Technology Displayed at Xperience Efficency
At Xperience Efficiency, an energy management and new technology event held by Schneider Electric, attendees could sit in at several sessions where industry speakers discussed topics such as energy efficiency for mid-sized businesses, driving business performance through sustainability, smart cities, and wastewater management. There was also ample opportunity to walk through the ‘marketplace’ where the Schneider Electric experts had their latest technology on display.
Water and wastewater management was one of the displays that got a lot of attention. Mark Leinmiller, segment manager, Water Wastewater, was there to discuss StruxureWare for Water. This technology is a suite of applications that gives full visibility into energy, operation, and process control across the entire water cycle. Leinmiller also showed how the software can show the exact location of a water leak and send alerts via text messages to the operator.
Another interesting technology at the event was Smart Cities that “delivers urban efficiency, through collaboration – today”, according to their display. Smart Cities helps cities achieve energy savings up to 30 percent, 15 percent reduction of water losses, and a 20 percent reduction of traffic delays and travel time.
These were only two of the countless displays at the event and several sessions offered even more knowledge of the industry. Xperience Efficiency was held June 18-20, 2013 in Dallas, Texas.
